Build real mobile apps by describing them in plain English, then publish to the App Store in hours.

What it is

Rork is an AI app builder that lets you create real iPhone and Android apps by describing what you want in plain English. No coding required. You type something like 'Build me a fitness tracker with daily goals and charts' and Rork generates a working app you can test on your actual phone within minutes by scanning a QR code. When you are ready, you can publish directly to the Apple App Store or Google Play. Rork Max takes this further by building native Swift apps for every Apple platform: iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Apple TV, and even Vision Pro, with one click install directly to your devices from the browser.

Who it is for

01

Anyone with an app idea who does not know how to code and wants to see it on their phone in minutes

02

Entrepreneurs and small business owners who need a mobile app without hiring a development team

03

Students, hobbyists, and creators who want to build and publish their first app to the App Store

04

Designers and product people who need to prototype mobile app ideas quickly and test them on real devices

05

Developers who want to rapidly prototype mobile concepts before committing to full development

  • +Rork Max brings unprecedented capabilities: native Swift for every Apple platform including Vision Pro and Apple Watch
  • +Cross platform from one codebase: iOS, Android, and web via React Native and Expo

Cons

  • Credit based pricing can be expensive for iterative development; each prompt costs one credit regardless of complexity, and credits do not roll over
  • Bug reports are common: users report crashes, preview failures, and the AI sometimes getting stuck in error loops
  • No built in first party database or authentication; Rork can set up Supabase, Firebase, and RevenueCat integrations for you through chat, but you still depend on third party services
  • App Store publishing still requires an Apple Developer Account ($99/year) and some technical knowledge for certificates and signing
  • Google Play publishing requires manual upload; Rork generates an Android App Bundle (.aab) but you must upload it to Play Console yourself
  • No visual drag and drop editor; all customization happens through text prompts only
  • Customer support is limited on lower tiers (email only on Junior, chat only on Middle+) and the team is small
  • While Supabase Auth, push notifications, and RevenueCat in app purchases now work through chat prompts, deeper customization of these integrations may still require exporting code and manual work
