Lyria is Google DeepMind's family of AI music generation models. MusicFX is the consumer product built on top of Lyria. Lyria 3 (released February 2026) generates complete music tracks with vocals and lyrics in the Gemini app. Lyria 3 Pro (launched March 25, 2026) is the newest and most advanced model, capable of generating tracks up to 3 minutes long with structural awareness for intros, verses, choruses, and bridges. MusicFX DJ, built on Lyria RealTime, provides a live, continuous, steerable music streaming experience where users blend multiple prompts in real time to shape the music as it plays. The DJ experience includes an interactive mode for hands on music creation and was designed in collaboration with musician Jacob Collier. ProducerAI, now powered by Lyria 3 Pro, is available globally to both free and paid subscribers. Clip lengths vary by product: 30 second clips with Lyria 3 in Gemini, up to 3 minutes with Lyria 3 Pro, 32.8 seconds on the Vertex AI API (Lyria 2), and 60 second downloadable tracks from MusicFX DJ.
