The visitor counter
We count visits with our own counter, on our own server, and it stores nothing in your browser: no cookies and no browser storage. For every page you open it records:
- the page address and how long the page stayed open;
- the website that sent you here, as its domain only (for example google.com, never the full address), and any campaign tag in the link you followed;
- your browser's technical description (the user agent), from which we read device type, browser and operating system;
- your country, as a two-letter code such as SI;
- the language your browser asks for, such as sl-SI, taken from what your browser sends with every request.
Your country is worked out on our server from your IP address, using a copy of a country list that sits on the server itself, so your address is not sent anywhere to be looked up. Right after that the IP address is discarded. We store the country code only, never the IP address, your town or your network.
To tell visits apart without a cookie, the counter mixes your IP address and browser description with a random value that changes every day, and keeps only the scrambled result. It cannot be turned back into your IP address, and from the next day it no longer matches you. A similar calculation, made fresh on every visit and never stored, decides which of two versions of the English home page you see.
We also record clicks on the buttons and links that matter to us, such as "Book a call", together with the page they were on.
We use all of this to see which pages people read and where they come from. We do not sell it and do not use it for advertising.
Booking a call on /call
When you book a call we store your name and email, your company and team size if you give them, what you write in the notes, the time you picked, your time zone and the language of the page. If the link that brought you carried a campaign tag, we note it with the booking.
This is kept in our own booking system on our own server. Our email provider sends you the confirmation with a link to cancel, and sends us a notice of the booking.
To stop the form being misused, it limits repeated attempts by counting them against a scrambled form of your IP address, never the address itself.
Forms where you leave your email
These are the newsletter (AI Native Weekly), guide downloads, the free AI review request, the tool check, the readiness score and the sample report.
- We store what you enter in the site's own database. That is at least your email address. The free AI review form also asks for your name, company, phone, website, the tools you use, a suitable time, your industry, company size and what you want solved.
- Most of these forms also add you as a contact in our CRM, which runs on our own server.
- Our email provider delivers what you asked for and tells us that you signed up. For the newsletter it also keeps your address on the mailing list. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link.
You do not have to give us your email, but without it we cannot send you what the form offers.
What you type into AI tools on the site
The tool check, the readiness chat and the chat in Tools and guides send what you type to an AI model provider, which writes the answer. The tool check also sends the names of your tools to a web research service, which reads the public pages of those tools. Your email address is not part of what the tool check sends to either of them.
Please do not type anything into these tools that you would not want handled this way, such as a client's name.
Emails and demo pages
Our emails contain no tracking image, and we do not record whether an email was opened.
Links in our emails to companies carry a code so we know which company opened the page we prepared for them; we use it only to follow up with that company.
Why we may use your data
| Use | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Visitor counter, country and language | Our legitimate interest in knowing which pages are read and where visitors come from (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)), with no IP address kept and nothing stored in your browser |
| Links in our emails to companies | Our legitimate interest in following up with the company whose prepared page was opened (Article 6(1)(f)); the email goes to a business address and you can object at any time |
| Booking a call | Steps you asked for before a possible contract (Article 6(1)(b)) |
| Forms, AI tools and replying to you | Delivering what you asked for (Article 6(1)(b)); following up on your enquiry and keeping it in our CRM is our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)), which you can object to at any time |
| Newsletter | Your consent, given when you subscribe (Article 6(1)(a)); you can withdraw it with the link in every issue |
Who else handles your data
- Hosting provider. The website, the booking system and the CRM run on a server we rent in the European Union.
- Email providers. Deliver the emails we send, and keep the newsletter mailing list.
- AI model providers. Write the answers in the AI tools described above.
- Web research service. Reads the public pages of the tools you name in the tool check.
Where one of these providers handles data outside the European Union, the transfer relies on an adequacy decision of the European Commission (GDPR Article 45) or on the Commission's standard contractual clauses (Article 46(2)(c)).
We do not sell your data to anyone.
How long we keep it
- Visitor counter: each page view for 12 months. After that only daily totals are kept: how many views and visitors per page, source, device, browser, country and language. Other visit records, such as clicks, are deleted after 12 months.
- Form entries, CRM contacts and bookings: 24 months after our last contact with you, then deleted. A newsletter subscription counts as ongoing contact, so it is deleted 24 months after you unsubscribe.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to:
- show you the data we hold about you;
- correct it;
- delete it;
- limit how we use it;
- give it to you in a file you can take elsewhere;
- stop using it, if you object to how we use it;
- and, where you gave consent, withdraw it at any time.
Write to hi@nativeai.agency. You can leave the newsletter at any time through the link in every issue.
If you think we handle your data unlawfully, you can complain to the Information Commissioner of the Republic of Slovenia (Informacijski pooblaščenec): www.ip-rs.si.
